A lifelong nature enthusiast, I gather most of my creative ideas by spending time outdoors. I paint primarily in oils at my studio in Niwot, Colorado or in plein air in the mountains and farmland of the rural areas across the state or in my extensive gardens. After graduation from the University of Northern Colorado with a degree in Fine Art, I pursued a successful career in interior design, but also continued to develop professionally as an artist. Painting full-time now, I enjoy painting a variety of subjects including landscapes, farm scenes, flowers, still life settings, birds and animals.

I travel extensively and love the mountains and deserts of the West and Southwest.

Whether painting a landscape, garden or a still life, I try to leave the observer with an emotional feeling of the moment and an appreciation of the beauty that surrounds us.
