I create ""oil paintings on canvas"". I have always been an oil painter since 1986. I am a ""fine artist"", not a ""production artist"", thus I have the freedom to create using various styles and techniques. The works included in this application have been created using brush and pallet knife, creating different levels of texture in the work.  The best part of being a ""fine artist"" is that one is creating, not producing a product. So each painting is a record of my exploration into new techniques, new subjects and new philosophies.  I do create ""series"" of work for gallery exhibitions, because that is a necessity for showing work. I have several series....""Optical Opulence"", ""Thresholds"", ""Spirit Light"", ""Contemplative Light"", ""Boketto - Looking into the Distance without Thinking"", plus plein air, landscapes and abstracts.
