A passion for watercolor painting and life is how I feel about painting and why I paint. Immersing myself in the fluid and unpredictable qualities of watercolor is having control and being loose at the same time. I have control of my planning, composition, and drawing, then loosen up to apply the paint and let the magic happen. It is entrancing to seeing different lighting, colors, and shapes around me and my joy is to capture the atmosphere of nature, urban scenes, and people. My artwork is created both in the studio and en plein air, exhibitng in galleries and pleina ir events across the country. My artwork is a realistic painterly style painting what inspires me in the moment, the light across a field or a child in a water fountain. I grew up in both Montreal and California, traveled the world, and have lived in Colorado for over 33 years. My formal training is from the Art Institute of Boston and the Massachusetts College of Art, graduating from both schools with a BFA.
