All photography is the capture of light and shadow. Normally we capture light shadow and color in a camera at about 500th of a second. I enjoy mixing light sources and adding the element of time into the image capture. While I strive for my work to be beautiful, I also want the viewer to also walk away with some wonder about what it was they saw. While there are elements of "landscape photography" in my work, the landscape is often interrupted by some element of light, capture over time. In that, I am mixing natural starlight with some 'light painting'. I will use a wide array of light sources to illuminate or light paint what it is I am wanting. I frequently use camera strobe, LEDs, candles, sparks, fireworks, cars headlights and even lights on a drone to help create the image I looking for.
