I create both functional and sculptural ceramics and mixed media ceramics made from mid-fire porcelain and stoneware clay bodies. I love working in a medium that incorporates all of the elements - earth, air, water, fire. I find myself forever drawn to sand and sea, and hints of this can be found in my work through textures and colors. I create timeless, yet modern pieces. Organic, yet refined. I am especially drawn to playing with textures and negative space, and how that influences the feel and look of the art. I have been making and teaching creative arts for over 20 years.
