As a child Dori lived all over the east coast and her family moved frequently. Her imagination and creativity were the things that stayed constant. Over the years she was drawn to the natural world, where she felt the most grounded. Her appreciation for natural wonders lead her to carefully observe and render animals and plant life realistically. A move to Colorado after an early retirement was the spark Dori needed to get into producing her latest works. A Boulder resident since 2013, she has been developing her realistic style with the very challenging medium of watercolor. Now she is a Boulder Open Studios artist and shows her work locally at the Boulder Junction Gallery.
