Here is the link to the 2024 CALL FOR ENTRY.

There is ONE call for entry for the 2024 - 2025 Membership Year AND for the 2024 Open Studios Tour, Saturdays and Sundays, October 5 - 20. All applications will be scored by our 2024 call-for-entry jurors. Each artist's composite jury scores are used to determine whether they will receive an invitation to participate in Open Studios as Members. The number of artists invited to become Open Studios Members is unlimited. Invitations are given as a result of jurors' scores. (For additional information about juror scores and Tour Artist invitations, see the call information HERE.) Approximately 175 artists who receive the highest scores by our jurors, will receive invitations to participate in the Open Studios Tour.

The Open Studios Membership Program provides year-round opportunities for visual artists to promote their art and the classes they teach, and to acquire skills to maximize their art careers. Open Studios Members have the opportunity to work in outreach programs that enrich the broader community and elevate the status of the visual arts in Boulder County. To become a Member, artists must apply and have their work reviewed by professional jurors. We are looking for full-time and part-time artists interested in growing in their art careers by improving their skills and  promoting and selling their art.

Artists' applications are scored on the following four criteria:

  1. The extent to which the artist's images demonstrate a technical proficiency with the medium (skillfulness in handling the medium and ability in composition and design).

  2. The extent to which the artist's images reflect an individual style and personal vision or voice (unique works reflecting originality, visual interest, impact and emotional response).

  3. The consistency in the body of work presented (do all images look like they were created by the same artist?).

  4. The overall quality of the work presented.

Artists must present artwork for review that has been completed in 2022 or later. You are required to provide the date of creation for your submitted artworks. Artwork produced before 2022 will not be considered by our jurors.
