MOBILE ART LAB
The Mobile Art Lab appears at festivals, fairs and even birthday parties, providing materials, guidance and process-based teaching to encourage children and adults to discover the creative artist within. In collaboration with Boulder Housing Partners, the Lab facilitates art-based community-building projects in Boulder’s under-served neighborhoods. Our artists enthusiastically embrace a variety of art-in-community projects for the betterment of life in Boulder County.
In January, 2021, in the midst of the pandemic, we donated 230 art activity kits and 40 art goody bags to children around Boulder: MORE
THE VALENTINE PROJECT 2021: Open Studios artists, family and friends pitched in with others from Resonance Women's Chorus, Sound Circle, Mindful Works, and Paddington Station Pre-school to create over 400 Valentine's Day cards for Boulder County seniors. Handmade valentines were delivered to residents and staff at The Peaks Care Center in Longmont, Mesa Vista and Boulder Manor in Boulder. Art Parts also donated materials for diy-prone seniors! Special thanks to artists: Charles Alkula, Robin Bryant, Cha Cha, Demry Frankenheimer, Cindy Hinkelman-Smith, Khiri Lee, Jean Mitchell, Jean Riordan, Marla Saville and Anne Skok. The love was much appreciated!
